BPW/MI Monday Minute February 5^th, 2008

BPW/USA is holding a Convention on February 16 and you can participate by webinar.  Convention will convene on Saturday, February 16 from Noon – 5pm after the Interim Board Meeting. Registration is required for credentialing purposes so please be sure to register.  The deadline for registration has been extended until February 6.

In order to finalize bylaw changes approved in July by the membership, we must hold this special Convention. Note: we must have a quorum to proceed! Background: The BPW/USA Board of Directors met on November 15, 2007, to consider adoption of amendments for consideration by the members. These proposed amendments make significant improvements to the way we vote, elect officers, manage information and structure the Executive Committee. Specifically, amendments to the following Bylaws will be considered: · Article XI - Officers · Article XII - Nominations · Article XIII - Elections · Article XIV – Duties of Officers · Article XVI – Executive Committee · Article XX – Amendments.
