I want to thank everyone who helped me celebrate my 39th wedding anniversary by being installed as President for Michigan BPW. It was an honor to have Nat’l President Barb Henton install the new Executive Board. 

     It was a busy convention with many by-law changes passed. Some of these are very significant. The new term for President will be 2 years starting with the 2009 elections. Also there will no longer be a President-elect. This brings the Michigan Federation in line with Nat’l. Make plans to attend Fall Boards to learn about all of the changes. 

     Many thanks to the members that stepped up to be committee chairs or regional coordinators. I am still looking for regional coordinators in Regions 1 & 2 and chairs for the YC/ID. If there is a committee that you are interested in, the chairs would love to have you help them. 

     June 1 is the deadline to submit all of the information to me on the new Presidents for the locals and time & day of your meetings. If this information is not received, old or no information will be in the Michigan manual. Please contact me at danspolaris@chartermi.net  or 800-858-4869 if you want to order a Michigan manual. I want to make sure that we have enough for everyone. 

     Again, thank you for all of your support, encouragement and advice. I look forward to serving as your President for 2008-2009.
