Most of you know by now that the BPW/USA Board of Directors has changed to include a new role of Area Manager. These area managers have voting rights and represent several states. Our own Shirley Zeller is running for Area 4 rep which includes Michigan.

She brings to the table a wealth of experience and knowledge of BPW. She is a Past State President of both Michigan and Idaho. She served three years on the BPW/USA Legislative committee. She founded the Western Regional Leadership Conference. She has presented many workshops both at the state and national levels. She is currently the parliamentarian for BPW/MI and sits on the BPW/USA ERA task force. Shirley continues to work hard for the betterment of women in Michigan as well as across the country while supporting her family and working full time. With all this going on, she still has the time, energy and passion to serve BPW as your next area rep.

The voting this year for the National Board will be done differently as EVERYONE has a vote. You will get a ballot via email if your email is registered on line with National and if not, you will get a paper ballot. All voting will be done prior to National Convention this year versus at convention as it has been in the past. It is very important for everyone to vote. Not only will your votes determine who wins the office, but in the case of area representatives, it will determine the term of office.
