The new BPW year is starting and for many of us it is a year of "firsts". The first time as an officer, a committee chair or even a member.  

 

     For me, as the newly elected V.P. of Communications/Secretary, it definately is a year of firsts.  My first  time on the executive committee, first Nat'l Convention and ,of course, my first Monday Minute.

 

     To all of the members, look within yourself and see what can become a first for you.  Attend a district meeting, state board meeting, join a committee or attend state convention.  Mentor a new member,YC or ID.

 

     For most of us, the old way has always worked so why change it ?  To keep BPW growing and meeting our members needs, we need to rethink the old and try something new.

 

     Challenge all of your members to think of a first for them. Encourage them throughout the year and you'll be surprised at how many firsts your locals can accomplish.

 

     Looking forward to seeing all of you during the year and finding out what was a first for you.
