The Yanks are Southern Bound
Michigan BPW members are headed south in a few weeks.
Destination Texas, more defined, Dallas for a
Texas-style celebration with National Conference.
Several Michigan BPW Yanks are gearing up to round up as
many BPW members as possible to help our Michigan
National Candidate’s, Barb Henton as President-elect &
Trish Knight as Secretary. They need all of our votes to
win the national ticket. Come & join us in this effort
for July 19 – 22, 2006.
For Michigan BPW members in attendance, are invited to a
state caucus meeting in my suite on Tuesday, July 18,
starting at 8:30 p.m. All are invited for a short
meeting to discuss the issues to be voted upon with soft
drinks & snacks for all. We will also have sign up
sheets for volunteers to cover the campaign site for
both Barb & Trish. The campaign times to be filled with at least one person per
slot;
Wednesday, July 19 5:30 p.m. – 6:30
p.m.
Thursday, July 20 8:00 a.m. –
12:00 noon
Friday, July 21 7:00 a.m. –
8:00 a.m.
Michigan will need to provide two poll/election workers
at national conference (one each for Barb & Trish) These individuals will not be able to attend the Michigan
Lunch. JoAnn Dotson is already signed up.
Terri Borowski has offered to man the microphones again
this year. If anyone else would like to volunteer for a
position at the microphones or as page during the board
meeting, please let me know.
Our “Meet Michigan Lunch” will be held on Friday, July
21 from 12:00 noon to 1:15 p.m. The cost for the
luncheon is $40. You can register on line for this event
at
www.bpw-michigan.org or send your check directly to
Shirley Zeller at 702 Burr Oak Dr., Albion, MI. 49224.
We are still looking for donations from businesses,
individuals, etc. for door prizes & raffles. Please let
us know if you have items that have Michigan name
recognition. You can donate several items or just one,
but please get these items to Shirley or committee
member ASAP. Shirley is driving to Texas so I already
have the Mackinaw Fudge down to her.
In
