On Saturday, Sept.30, I attended the meeting
for Region 1.We were a small group but many ideas were
exchanged with what other locals are doing. Discussion was
held on what members want from their region. All felt that
having the IDP modules at the meeting was a great idea and
wanted to continue with it. They also asked if some IDP
modules could be held on the Friday before convention during
leadership training. Region 1 has decided to hold a Spring
Gathering in March. Not only will it be a learning
experience, it will be a FUN GIRLS OVERNIGHT!!
We were impressed with YBPW member Lacie on the
University of Life presentation she gave. She also explained
their goals for the future and answered our questions. Go to

I think with members giving their input on what they want
will encourage more to attend the meetings. It is not “just
a meeting” but a learning experience. That I cannot stress
enough. Please try to attend your regional meeting. It is
worth it.
The learning, friendships and exchange of ideas left me
with a sense of accomplishment. I was proud to be part of
the planning for the new structure of MI/BPW
