BPW/MI Monday Minute November 12th, 2007

An outstanding Michigan/BPW signature event is the "Women of Achievement" recognition at the fall state board meeting.
Each local organization has the opportunity to select a woman or man as their "Michigan/BPW Star that Shines".
The "Stars" at the Michigan/BPW fall board Meeting which was held October 13, 2007 at the Kewadin Hotel and Casino, Sault Ste Marie, Michigan were:
  • Lisa Brook, Jackson BPW
  • Martha Brown, Belleview BPW
  • Mary Jane Flannery, Saginaw BPW
  • Stella Kindle, Port Huron BPW
  • Fran Kirchogg, Royal Oak BPW
  • Diane Koglin, Bad Axe BPw
  • Kimberly McCracken, Alma Area BPW
  • Susan Oser, Downriver BPW
  • Bette Pierman, Twin Cities BPW
  • Denise Worthington, Elk Rapids BPW

As Ralph Waldo Emerson penned - Hitch your wagon to a Star. Don't wait to hitch your wagon to a Star--choose your woman of achievement soon. Let your Star's achievements shine.

BPW involvement - participation in community activities - contributions to careers - and commitment to living life enthusiastically.

These are amazing women that should and can be recognized. The criteria recommended can be found in the Michigan Manual.

Respectfully,
Teresa Borowski
