What is happening with Signature Events?

Now is the time to ask this question, and it’s the time of year to be getting started with your events.

University of Life is scheduled for June 27 to 29, 2008 at Grand Valley State University. No better time than now to get involved with this great program for girl’s age 10 to 17.  The brochures will be ready next week.  Just in time to give them as a gift for the girls closest to your heart.  They will always remember who gave them the weekend that changed their life.  If you want to participate as a facilitator, let me know, we always have room for you.

Young Careerist Program – contact your Regional Coordinator for details on participation in your region and on to the state and national level.  All the requirements including the speech topics, instructions for impromptu and timed speeches, interviews and all the papers to sign are in the members section at www.bpwusa.org   This is a great program for your working young women age 21 to 35.  If you have questions, contact your Region Chair or me.

Individual Development Program – plans are underway to host a program in northern Michigan this winter.  Yes, I said winter….. You come north to ski and plays outdoors, why not come north to become a better you?  Call me at 231-409-6579 or e-mail at address below.  We haven’t set the dates yet, so if you have a burning desire to help or to plan your time, give me a call.  It will be in the Elk Rapids Area, and open to both men and women.

 Awards remember it is never too early to read up on awards, write down those deadlines, and assign someone in your club to get your programs into the program.  Read it in the Michigan manual, or ask your Region Chairs for help.

Woman of Achievement – don’t wait until the last minute to send in those nominations.  Your women are doing great things in all phases of their lives.  Make sure you have a committee selected before summer sucks up all your energy and the September deadline passes you by.  Every club has great people, isn’t it a shame that we don’t have representatives for every one every year?

While those visions of sugarplums dance through your head, add in some visions of our great BPW Signature Programs, and fill those heads and stockings with BPW program dreams to a better you.
