Now is the time to reserve your room for the MI BPW State Convention that will be held at the Kewadin Casino in Sault Ste. Marie,  May 19 –21, 2006.  Rates for rooms are: Single/Double is $83.00, Triple is $93.00, and Quad is $103.00.  These are very reasonable rates and you can keep the cost down by sharing the rooms.  Remember, if you reserve your rooms now with a credit card, you don’t have to pay for it until after the Convention.  If for some reason you are unable to attend, you can cancel up to 1 day before the Convention and avoid any charges.  This will help us to keep a block of rooms open if we have early reservations.

For those of you who are concerned about the long drive, there is an airport in Kinross and the Kewadin has a shuttle that will pick you and drop you off (as long as you advise them of your flight schedule ahead of time).  Just a reminder that early bird registration cost is $145.00 and $160.00 after April 15, 2006.

The State Convention is where you can learn how to run a Local meeting, provides an opportunity to network, and offers educational programs such as Leadership Development, to help you succeed.  It is a great occasion to showcase your Locals by participating in the YC and ID programs.  Attending the Convention and bringing new or prospective members can show them how diverse and dedicated our organization is.  Take the time and strongly encourage each and every member and potential member to attend the State Convention.

 Becoming more actively involved by attending meetings and mentoring in your Local and State BPW can be your New Years resolution for 2006.
